Talladega wil bring one heck of a Yappy Hour!

I learned a long time ago with my radio career, that it is really difficult to promote charities without a. being partial and b. having every Tom, Dick and Harry contact you wanting you to promote the cause of the week...Bikers for Babes Bikini Watch anyone?? Its a little different with a blog, because we do welcome all and any charitable news and events as long as it is racing related. Having said that, we will do whatever we can to support anything children and animal related. One of our clients-Sophie's Circle, a local animal advocacy group that we work with does great events like monthly Yappy Hours which promotes awareness, supplies and funds for local animal shelters. We received a press release this week from the Greg Biffle Foundation, and this is something for sure that Sophie will participate in. If you live in Daytona, stay tuned-if you live sure to pass this on to an animal lover or charity in your area so they can do the same!

On Sunday, November 1, 2009 the Greg Biffle Foundation and its many supporters will host simultaneous “Parties for Pets” across the country. These parties, being held in conjunction with the Talladega race, will allow hosts to invite friends and family over to watch the race, introduce them to the Greg Biffle Foundation and educate them on the importance of animal welfare issues and pet overpopulation in this country. The Foundation will supply hosts with invitations and other supplies to make their party a hit, and party attendees will each make a donation to the Foundation which will be collected by the host.

Parties are being held by Foundation supporters from Pennsylvania to California. In Mooresville, NC, home of the Foundation, a special Party for Pets is being hosted by PETCO, located at 611 River Highway.

“We see these parties as a way to unite our supporters nationwide simultaneously for animals in need, and as a way to spread the word about the work we are doing and engage new friends in assisting us in fulfilling our mission” said Emily DiNunzio, Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Greg Biffle Foundation was founded in 2005 by Greg and Nicole Biffle to create awareness and serve as an advocate to improve the well-being of animals by engaging the power and passion of the motor sports industry. In 2008 the Foundation awarded grant funding to 112 shelters and rescue groups nationwide for programs like spaying and neutering, adoption and general operating expenses.
